Picking the right box is a bigger decision than most brands expect. It affects unboxing experience, shipping cost, shelf presence, and even return rates.
Start with what the product needs to survive: fragile items call for rigid or corrugated stock with internal padding, while lightweight goods can use lighter cardstock to save on shipping weight. From there, think about how the box will actually be seen — on a shelf, in a courier bag, or opened on camera for a social media unboxing.
Finally, decide on finishing. Matte lamination feels premium and hides fingerprints; gloss makes colors pop; spot-UV and foil stamping add a tactile highlight to a logo without covering the whole box in a slippery coating. None of these choices are permanent — most manufacturers, including us, will send physical samples before you commit to a full production run.
